Sam is a Senior Clinical Psychologist, registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT Therapist).

Clinical Experience

Sam is a Senior Clinical Psychologist, and he has worked in a variety of mental health services in a variety of roles over the past 11 years. He has experience of working within adult and older adult, child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS), intellectual/learning disability, neuropsychological, and clinical health psychology services (including palliative and hospice care). In the course of his training, he has worked for one year at a national and specialist anxiety disorder and trauma service. Alongside private practice, he currently works within an NHS secondary care service with adults with a wide range of complex and severe mental health difficulties. Sam currently supervises trainee and qualified clinicians, and welcomes enquiries about the provision of supervision.

Research Experience

Sam currently holds an External Research Supervisor role with The University of Oxford, supporting the supervision of doctoral research for Trainee Clinical Psychologists. In addition to his two publications, he has a further three projects in development, and is supervising four further ongoing doctoral research projects. He welcomes enquiries about further research collaboration and supervision.
